Titan America

The Company’s business concept is to develop and manage mid-capacity complexes with 6,000-8000 seat capacities. Named Titan the venues will offer live music, theatre performances, arts and entertainment, conferences, trade shows, conventions and any other event possible. The live entertainment areas of the complexes will be designed with tour production in mind to make loading and backstage activities operate more smoothly and efficiently.

The Titan project is in response to a growing trend in North America for the development of complexes that offer ‘multi-purpose flexibility’ particularly in concert set-ups that include end and center stage, festival, and ‘intimate show’ seating. Mid-capacity complexes with a less than 10,000 person capacity are among the fastest growing segments of the industry. Increasingly performers in many entertainment categories and their fans, not to mention the crew prefer complexes with facilities and amenities tailored to meet the demands of the performance and backstage operations.

In Calgary, The Titan will be located in the inner city district or north of the City in proximity to major automobile and public transportation corridors and other complementary private and municipal facilities. In Calgary area, The Titan will consist of the following:

• With a variety of possible configurations an 8,000 person capacity venue complete with balcony seating and concourses, private corporate and party suites, ‘long bars’ and food services as well as other amenities.

• A 375-room "marquis" Hotel and Condo Complex, standard, suited rooms, deluxe rooms, and luxurious suites with private access, along with a restaurant, bar, dinner/café, lounge, spa, signing and meeting facilities, with accommodations for tour crews and dressing rooms.

• A 350-seat "four-star" restaurant, featuring a "Western" theme in Calgary, with a private stage, table, booth and private area seating arrangements with table-side service, a ‘chefs finishing grill’, and premier seating overlooking the live performances. In year two this could include a Canadian Rocky Mountain cooking show filmed live with an endless supply of guests.
• A retail concourse linked to the hotel, public transportation and the entertainment venue with an "up-scale" mix of space for "national" tenants such as clothiers, food court, coffeehouses, gift shops, and a Titan Store for ‘branded’ and promotional merchandising.

At the "heart" of the complex will be the stage and backstage areas. The stage will accommodate end, side and center stage set-ups, and feature a retractable catwalk and orchestra pit, specially designed rigging and lighting, "direct connects" to "state-of-the-art" audio and video systems, and other design-features for specialty performances. The backstage area will have dock-height loading adjacent to the stage to accommodate more and larger tractor-trailers, tour buses and equipment vans. The backstage design will facilitate changeovers, and offer large, secure storage areas, production offices, changing and rehearsal areas, private rooms and suites as well as other amenities
